We are very excited to introduce Larkshill Rheinking, a black Trakehner, standing at 16.2hh Born 2006 by Axis/EH Sixtus out of a mare by EH Hohenstein.

He will bring both dressage and SJ lines to the stud. He was bred at Larkshill stud (www.larkshillstud.com). We hope to grade him in the future and compete him 2010. He will be available for the 2010 season which we are hoping to be offering him by AI. Larkshill Rheinking was sensation at the 2007 Annual Trakehner Show.

The German judges praised his exceptional movement and temperament and indicated that he should be kept entire as a stallion prospect!

Champion Yearling.  Reserve Young Stock Champion

A stunning black colt by Axis. Rheinking has star quality and great athleticism. He has three excellent paces. He has both dressage blood and jumping blood in his pedigree so will make a top class sport horse of either discipline. He is very laid back and really enjoys attention. He has superb bloodlines with no less than five Elite stallions and 4 State Premium mares in his immediate pedigree.

His sire Axis was approved in Neumünster in 2001and was the best jumper of his year and finished an excellent 70 day test in Neustadt/Dosse, where he also showed great rideability. He went on to have tremendous success with his first foal crop (born in 2003). Out of it, he produced the 2005 premium stallion Hirtentanz, who continues the paternal line with "best jumper" awards from Neumünster. Axis' sire EH Sixtus was "stallion of the year" in Neumünster. Sixtus was an international show jumper before he was retired at stud and has become one of the world's most popular Trakehner stallions. Axis is currently in training with the Finish National dressage champion, Terhi Stegars. His first appearances were impressive, and during the 2006 Handorf Stallion Show, he demonstrated his capabilities in a lovely advanced level freestyle. Axis' dressage talent, apart from the fact that his sire EH Sixtus is not a pure jumper himself, is primarily secured in his dam, who combines two prolific dressage stallions: the elite stallion Angard, who was a FEI dressage performer himself and has sire such, and the older Herzbube by Gunnar, who, among others, is the sire of the world's best dressage stallion in 1994, EH Heuriger (e.g. winner of the Hamburg Dressage Derby; Team Silver and individual 5th at the 1994 Le Hague World Equestrian Games).

His son, Hirtentanz, was Premium Graded in Neumünster in October 2005. His first daughter presented for grading, Herzluna, also received premium marks. In September 2006 his first daughter presented for grading in England, Fablixa, was also awarded premium marks.

In October 2006 he had a second son graded, Ballzauber who was bought by the Olympic Event rider, Darren Chiacchia. Ballzauber has shown exceptional paces and has been selected to represent the Trakehner breed at the Germany Bundeschampionat http://www.trakehners-international.com/han_turnier_07.html

Rheinking carries the same bloodlines as Ballzauber - Axis and Elite Stallion Itaxerxes. His dam Dali is a breathtaking black Trakehner mare by Elite Grand Prix Dressage stallion Hohenstein. She has superb type, conformation and movement. She has impeccable dressage breeding with four Elite dressage stallions in her pedigree and comes from a family of State Premium mares. She was bred and graded in Germany where she achieved excellent marks and was also successful in dressage classes both in Germany and Holland. Her sire E.H. Hohenstein is an outstanding black stallion who has an incredible breeding and competition record. He became premium at the licensing in Neumünster in 1993. In 1994 he was Reserve Champion at his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a total index of 134.05, winning the dressage section and became rideability champion with 148.29 points. In 1997 Hohenstein presented the champion of the stallion licensing. In 1999 he was proclaimed an Elite Stallion and in 2002 he became stallion of the year and his son, His Highness, became champion of the stallion licensing in Verden and was sold to the US for 515,000 Euros.
